Fleetwood Town Players Reunite at Poolfoot for August Meetup
Fleetwood Town's Former Players Association returned to Poolfoot Farm on Thursday morning for their August meeting, with the new season and the club's upcoming fixtures among the main topics of conversation. The meeting began with apologies from Tom Scott, Docker Brooks, Terry Uttley, Rob Thomas, Ray and Jim, who were unable to attend.

The meeting saw the celebration of birthdays for several former players, including Jim Betmead, Gordon Griffith, Don Gain, Stuart Murdoch, Bobby Cuthbertson, Rob Thomas, Phil Kendrick. Everyone connected with the Former Players Association wishes them all a very happy birthday.

Fleetwood Town currently sit 15th in the England League Two table, with 61 points from 46 games, and a goal difference of -1. The Cod Army return to action against Chesterfield at Highbury on Saturday 8 August, before Gillingham visit the Fylde Coast two weeks later. Town will then welcome Oldham Athletic for a Tuesday night fixture on 1 September, followed by a home meeting with Shrewsbury Town on Saturday 5 September.
The morning concluded with a game of "Higher or Lower", led by George and won by Andy Haddock. Following on the morning was wrapped up by a heavily contested music quiz.
