Fleetwood Town will open the Highbury Stand for their upcoming Carabao Cup tie against Sheffield United. The club confirmed the move following consultation with supporters about the third-round fixture.

"Following consultation with supporters, Fleetwood Town can confirm the Highbury Stand will be open for our Carabao Cup third-round tie against Sheffield United," the club said. The decision provides a significant boost to matchday capacity at Highbury Stadium for the Wednesday night cup clash.

Tickets for the stand go on sale on Wednesday 9 September. An adult ticket is priced at £20, with concessions for seniors at £15 and under-16s at £7. Season tickets and Onward Cards are not valid for this cup fixture. Supporters who already hold tickets for the Parkside Stand can contact Steve Metcalf by email to relocate to the newly opened Highbury Stand.

The match is scheduled for Wednesday 16 September with a 7:45pm kick-off. It comes during a positive start to the season for Fleetwood, who sit sixth in League Two with nine points from five games. Their recent form shows an unbeaten run of two wins and three draws, including a 2-0 victory over Shrewsbury in their last outing.
