Fleetwood Town are delighted to confirm the signing of midfielder Noah Mawene following his departure from Preston North End. The 21-year-old joins the club on a loan deal until the end of the 2026 League of Ireland season. Mawene arrives on the Fylde Coast after progressing through Preston North End’s academy, where he established himself as one of the club’s brightest young prospects before making the step into senior football.
What happened?
Mawene was born in Lytham St Annes and began his footballing journey with Lytham St Anne’s YMCA before joining Preston’s academy at Under-13 level. He captained the Lilywhites’ Under-18 side and signed his first professional contract in 2022, before making his Championship debut later that year in a Lancashire derby victory over Blackburn Rovers.
