Fleetwood Town have confirmed that Academy graduate George Morrison has completed a permanent transfer to Stoke City for an undisclosed fee. The midfielder, who joined the Club at Under-12 level, departs after progressing through every stage of the Highbury Academy.

George Morrison signed his first professional contract in October 2022 and extended his stay the following year. He impressed for the Under-18s and Under-21s before gaining senior experience on loan at King’s Lynn Town. His first-team debut came in Town’s 4-1 victory over Accrington Stanley at the end of the 2024/25 season.
